ARrC's New Kids: Out the Box is built around freedom, individuality and the confidence to lead rather than follow. The five-track release uses creative hip-hop elements to carry an energetic message.
The record includes the title track New Kids alongside Loop.dll, Accident~At the Studio, Alien in Seoul and Connected.
New Kids uses minimal instrumentation and synthesizer sounds inspired by early-2000s hip-hop. The group said it wanted to reinterpret the period's musical core in its own style and express a willingness to think flexibly, move beyond existing frames and create a new path.
The choreography uses chairs and tables to support a free, energetic performance. Different movement appears in each chorus, giving the stage a changing visual rhythm rather than relying on one repeated centerpiece.
The release also marks a change in membership. The label announced that Andy had joined in January, reorganizing ARrC as a seven-member group. Andy attracted notice on Project 7 for speaking Korean, English and Japanese and helping foreign trainees communicate.
Andy said his long trainee period and earlier dormitory experience helped him settle in after an initially awkward start. Choi Han, who trained with him, welcomed the reunion and noted that Andy's Los Angeles background could help the group build deeper communication with international fans.
The members described their different national backgrounds as a strength and said their goal was to move as one team toward better work. New Kids: Out the Box was scheduled for release at 6 p.m. on February 12.
