BTS's fifth studio album, Arirang, led major weekly charts in South Korea and abroad following its March release.

Hanteo Chart reported on March 30 that the album ranked first on its weekly world and album charts for March 23-29. Arirang had reached No. 1 within three days of its March 20 release and held the position for a second consecutive week.

A Billboard chart preview dated March 30 placed Arirang at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for the week of April 4. The album opened with 641,000 equivalent album units, including 532,000 pure album sales across physical and digital formats. Billboard described the result as the strongest weekly performance by a group album since unit-based tracking began in December 2014.

The album also led Spotify's March 20-26 weekly global rankings for albums, songs and artists. Its title track, SWIM, placed first on Weekly Top Songs Global, while all 14 album tracks appeared in the top 30.

SWIM remained at the top of Spotify's Daily Top Songs Global for nine days from March 20 through 28 and led Apple Music's Top 100 Global for seven days from March 23 through 29. All tracks continued to appear on both platforms' latest rankings ten days after release.

BTS scheduled three concerts at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium for April 9, 11 and 12. The tour was also set to reach stadiums in Colombia, Peru, Argentina, Chile and Brazil in October. All 46 announced dates across Goyang, North America, Europe, South America and Tokyo had sold out in advance.
