Broadcaster Jun Hyun-moo has adopted a dog for his parents. An episode of MBC's Home Alone scheduled for June 12 follows his first full day caring for the family's new companion.

Jun described the adoption as the second stage of a five-year plan to bring joy to his parents. He said the 70-day-old puppy had been rescued from a breeding facility.

He sought advice from Kian84, who had previously shared his own experience adopting two dogs, Alkong and Dalkong. Those dogs were later shown growing up at Kian84's mother's home on Jeju Island.

Jun also took responsibility for the puppy's comprehensive vaccinations, jokingly adopting a new paternal nickname as he learned the routines of feeding, cleaning and supervision.

Even on a day off, he woke at 7 a.m. to prepare food and water. The episode shows him following the energetic puppy around the living room, thinking through possible names and comparing the constant attention with caring for a young child.

The same broadcast also follows announcer Ko Kang-yong's move out of a studio apartment. Home Alone was scheduled to air at 11:10 p.m. after MBC's Friday baseball coverage.
